A New Beginning

Thanks for joining me

…again! This is the third time I give it a go at this blogging thing and it is hard, you know? Consistency and personal expression are the key-words though.

But I’ve learned from those two previous attempts and I’ve been missing writing and sharing whatever is on my mind with those who used to read my posts and anyone who enjoys reading my posts

So, what’s fresh this time?

Well, I’ve picked a few tricks about writing, storytelling and blogging thanks to a very good writing mentor.

I also have the buzz to share experiences, knowledge and mess-ups that happen in my day-to-day life either at work or on my personal time and space. At the same time, quite a few people have asked me if there is a blog or somewhere they can go and check out my thoughts because they like the way I teach or explain things.

So, as of “now-now” expect to see:

Photography & Art

Maybe just a little bit though, this won’t be strictly a photography blog but I will be sharing some behind the scenes from shoots, pictures projects I’m working on, collaborations, technical tips and insights about the business of food and portrait photography and artwork that inspires me.

Business

I’ll be sharing some tips helping those who want to start their career as a freelance photographer.

Philosophy

That’s right, I’ll have open discussions about my way of thinking, the way I see life and what I learn through the study and practice of martial arts, through conversations I have with people and with myself… mostly in the shower.

Food & Drinks

It is I who does the cooking at home so it makes sense then, to be sharing recipes that are very close to my heart and my roots. 99% of these will be Mexican.

How does this sound? Let’s see where this journey takes me. I haven’t got massive expectations this time, only the drive to share my experiences. I’m doing this with the aim to inspire and entertain.

Last and most important, I value everybody’s opinion so, If you have any requests or suggestions on what you would like to see, please don’t be shy and leave a comment or send me a message.

Welcome to my journey!

Xavo.
